The Lagos Ikoyi Elite Lions Club, Region 2 District 404 A3 Lions International, marked World Pediatric Cancer Day in a meaningful way on February 29, 2024.

The Lagos Ikoyi Elite Lions Club, Region 2 District 404 A3 Lions International, marked World Pediatric Cancer Day in a meaningful way on February 29, 2024. This event took place at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja, where the club donated 20 hospital bedsheets, 10 mop buckets, 10 mop sticks, and toiletries to the pediatric ward.



The Assistant Director of Nursing Services at the Pediatric Cancer Center, Mrs. Kilajolu Titilayo, and the Welfare Officer, Mrs. Adeyeye, received the donated items on behalf of Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). Lion Adams John, 1st VP (Acting President), conveyed Lions International's mission and highlighted the eight focus areas, emphasizing the significance of the activity in commemoration of World Cancer Day.
The Region 2 Chairperson, Lion TPL Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf MJF NLCF, stressed the importance of Pediatric Cancer Awareness in society. 


The event was attended by Lion Abdulkarim Yusuf MJF NLCF, the Membership Director, Lion Arafat Adeniyi, Service Chairperson, 


Leo President Tobi Amusan of Oceanography Leo Club, and other Leo Members. Past Leo District President, Lion Olayinka Wahab, and Chairperson of the Association of Women Town Planners in Nigeria Lagos State Chapter, TPL Victoria Taiwo Ajose Fnitp, were also present.
