GLAMOUR, ROYALTY & HONOUR AS DR. GLADYS IGBEKELE BAGS YEYE FIMOGBOYE TITLE IN ILE-IFE




Ile-Ife was agog on Saturday, April 18, 2026, as society woman, hospitality expert, and respected entrepreneur, Chief Dr. Mrs. Gladys Olaitan Igbekele (PhD), was installed as the Yeye Fimogboye of Amodo Kingdom,Ile-Ife in a grand and colourful ceremony.


The historic event, which combined tradition, prestige, and celebration, was presided over by the Alamodo of Amodo ,Ife,HRM Oba (Pastor) Dr. Mike Adebiyi Aderoju Adewoye, Erinjogunola 1,who conferred the honour on her in recognition of her outstanding contributions to society, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to community development.



From the early hours of the day, the ancient city came alive as dignitaries, royal fathers, high chiefs, captains of industry, and well-wishers stormed the venue in grand style. The atmosphere was rich with culture, as traditional rites, rhythmic drumbeats, and captivating performances set the tone for a truly memorable occasion.



Dr. Gladys Igbekele, known for her elegance, influence, and professional excellence, stood tall as she received the revered title marking a significant milestone in her journey of impact and service.
In his remarks, the monarch showered praises on the newly installed Yeye, describing her as a woman of integrity, substance, and influence, and expressing confidence that she would use her new position to further promote unity, peace, and development within the kingdom.
An emotional yet composed Yeye Fimogboye, in her acceptance speech, expressed deep gratitude to God and appreciation to the monarch for finding her worthy of such a prestigious honour.


“This is not just a title, but a call to greater service. I am committed to contributing meaningfully to the growth, unity, and development of Amodo Kingdom,” she said.
She also acknowledged the support of her family, friends, and associates who stood by her throughout the journey.
