Funmilayo Omowumi Loremikan is a distinguished maritime and logistics professional, retirement reinvention strategist, and certified professional coach (ICF-ACTP Trained), with over 31 years of impactful service in the maritime, transport, logistics, and supply chain industry.
She built her career at the Nigerian Ports Authority, serving in strategic roles including Marketing Officer, Tariff & Billing Officer, SERVICOM Manager, and Personal Assistant to the Port Manager of Lagos Port Complex.
She made history as the pioneer Head of the SERVICOM Department at Calabar Port (2019–2025), where she championed service excellence, strengthened customer complaint management systems, and promoted accountability in public service.
She retired in October 2025 with an unblemished, corruption-free record, leaving a legacy of professionalism and integrity.
Beyond public service, Funmilayo is passionate about mentorship, career development, and personal branding.
She has mentored and empowered over 100 unemployed young professionals to start businesses and pursue careers in logistics and supply chain management, with many becoming members of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the African Centre for Supply Chain.
Her influence has earned global and continental recognition, including being named among the Top 100 Global Ambassadors of CILT (2019) and Top 100 Most Influential African Women in Supply Chain (2022).
She also received multiple honours, including Mentor of the Year (2025) and Maritime Woman of the Year (2026).
Through leadership, mentorship, and advocacy, she continues to inspire professionals across Africa to build influence and create lasting impact.
