MEET NIGERIAN ACTOR, TOBI BAKRE

He is a Yoruba guy. 

His name is Tobi Bakre, a popular and talented Nigerian actor, host, compere, model and photographer. 

Tobi Bakre was born on June 1, 1994 in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. He is currently 29 years old. He is from a family of four children, among which include his older brother, Femi Bakre, CEO of Kraks TV and two sisters. He hails from Ogun State. 

Tobi Bakre completed his primary and secondary school education in Lagos State and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. 

After completing his primary and secondary school education, he proceeded to the University of Lagos and graduated with a Second Class Honours Upper Division in Banking and Finance in 2012 at the age of 18.

He enrolled into the compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and camped at NYSC Orientation Camp, Benue State. 

Tobi Bakre used to be an investment banker having worked in the office of the Accountant General of the Federation and in the banking industry for four years.

Tobi Bakre started his acting career in 2018.

He became popular after participating in Big Brother Naija (Season 3) reality TV show in 2018. He emerged as a second runner-up. He is the brand ambassador to Unilever, Amstel Malta, and Jumia in and out of Nigeria.

Known for his handsome, creativity, and exceptional acting abilities, Tobi Bakre is recognized for his compelling performances in a variety of action roles, much to the delight of his diverse fanbase. His remarkable ability to bring characters to life has made him a favorite among producers and directors, leading them to frequently cast him in action and thriller movies. 

He has worked with Nigerian actors and actresses like Bimbo Ademoye, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Bisola Aiyeola, Sam Dede, Chioma Chukwuka, to name a few.

Tobi Bakre is known for his action roles in Nigerian movies.

In 2023, he won the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) as the best actor for 'Brotherhood'. 

He is known for Sugar Rush (2019), Blood Covenant (2021), Brotherhood (2022) and Gangs of Lagos (2023).

Tobi Bakre is currently married to Anu Oladosu, a graduate of Unilag. The weeding took place in Lekki, Lagos State in August, 2021. 

On January 1, 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Malik Bakre and on September 19, 2023, they welcomed their second child, a girl named Kamila Bakre. 

Tobi Bakre is very good in acting.
