Remembering Sound Sultan (Singer/Actor) On His Birthday Today 



Golden Oldies is remembering Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, comedian, and recording artist Sound Sultan on his birthday today (born Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi (November 27, 1976 - July 11, 2021). He was regarded as one of the pacesetters of modern hip hop music in Nigeria. He was notable for using his music to speak against poverty, corruption, bad governance and societal ills in Nigeria. Sound Sultan died July 11, 2021 at the age of 44 as a result of complications from the illness.

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by President-General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has pledged the union’s strong commitment to synergize with barge operators as part of measures to boost seamless movement of cargoes across in Nigeria . Bunu who recently hosted executives from the Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN) at the MWUN Secretariat in Lagos made this known in a statement. According to a statement signed by Head of Media MWUN, Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna over the weekend, the visit, led by BOAN Vice President Mr. Hyginus Chichebem Ndukwe, was both a congratulatory call on Comrade Bunu’s recent election victory .
