The Lagos State Chapter of the Association of Women Town Planners in Nigeria paid a condolence visit to the family of the late TPL Catherine Kehinde George today

The Lagos State Chapter of the Association of Women Town Planners in Nigeria paid a condolence visit to the family of the late TPL Catherine Kehinde George today, 




February  15th,2024 at her residence in Anthony Village Lagos.




 She was the first female Town Planner in Nigeria,




 a past president Nigerian Institute of Town Planners Lagos State Chapter and National Life Matron Association of Women Town Planners in Nigeria,

she died at the age of 75 years ,

 she was born on June 14, 1948 in Lagos Nigeria, she passed away on February 13, 2024 in Lagos State.


The delegation, led by Chairperson TPL Taiwo Ajose Victoria fnitp,


 included General Secretary TPL Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf and Public Relations Secretary TPL Saidat Fashola.

 The husband and children welcomed the delegation,

 with the presence of Pioneer Chairman AWTPN and the immediate past Chairman AWTPN Nigeria,

 TPL R.B Bello fnitp who represented the Chairman TPL Rekiya Ahuoiza fnitp.

Prayers were offered during the visit.

Grateful for the transformative impact of OLASS my alma mater, shaping me into the accomplished leader and mentor I am today. Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School in Ijebu Ode, founded on January 25th, 1954, is a Catholic girls' school renowned as the best in Ogun State.  The school significantly influenced my character, providing a nurturing environment with dedicated teachers, including memorable individuals like Sister Ann McCormack ,  an Irish woman who taught me food and nutrition. Despite my overall positive experience, the one aspect I disliked passionately was grass-cutting duties.  Visualizing girls wielding cutlasses for this task remains a vivid memory. Yet, I cherish the camaraderie with teachers,shoolmates and classmates.
