ANAMBRA GUBER ELECTION: MWUN SET TO DISTRIBUTE ELECTORAL MATERIALS IN RIVERINE AREAS




The Maritme Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), under the aegis of Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has been charged with the responsibility of effective distribution of electoral and voting materials by the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) to  all the riverine areas of the State for the successful forthcoming gubernatorial election come the 8th of November, 2025.

It would be recalled that the Union had since the years  signed a pact with  INEC headquarters in Abuja during the tenure of the immediate past Chairman, Professor Mahmud Yakubu, for the distribution of voters materials in all the litoral states of the federation.

The Maritme Workers' Union of Nigeria, having acquired the expertise with top speed flying boats and its Seafarers have in the past executed the distributions of INEC materials across the country with a superlative track record. The recent was the Rivers State Local Government Elections (LGA), which was also a huge success.

In view of this, the President General of the Union, a Veteran Sailor and the foremost Maritme Labour leader in Nigeria, has promised the people of Anambra State that his Seafarers will do a proper delivery to all the litoral areas of the State for a hitch free guber election on the day.

The INEC and the MWUN collaboration on distribution of electoral materials within the country has always been a thing of success; therefore, the Union is also well prepared in this course to assure the people of the state of efficient delivery on Saturday.

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by President-General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has pledged the union’s strong commitment to synergize with barge operators as part of measures to boost seamless movement of cargoes across in Nigeria . Bunu who recently hosted executives from the Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN) at the MWUN Secretariat in Lagos made this known in a statement.
