MWUN PG,BUNU,CONGRATULATES CHRISTIANS ON EASTER, PRAYS FOR WORLD PEACE



The President -General of Maritme Workers' Union of Nigeria (MWUN) Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has advocated for peace amongst Nigerians and in every nation across the world as he congratulates Christians in Nigeria and across the world in celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the grave and his ascension to heaven as the world marks His sacrifice, agony and pains on the cross.

Christ arose from the dead, signifying His manifestation powers over death with the redemption of man from all iniquities by reconciling man unto God.

The PG of MWUN, Comrade Bunu in his Easter message says in view of the above, mankind should always thrive in the legacy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who came and died for the love of man and to save man from the destruction of our sins. The Maritme Workers' Union number one citizen, further said that our Lord Jesus shed his precious blood on the Cross of Calvary for the remission of  our iniquities; thereby, demonstrating how much our Lord Jesus Christ so much love the world that we should not perish but have everlasting life and inherit the Kingdom of God.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to the earth preaching the gospel of love, tolerance, peace and forgiveness in purity amongst all men; saying that without love and forgiveness no man will enter into His Kingdom as  love covereth all sins.

The Ijaw born Labour Activist further admonished Christians to lead first with love and forgiveness as that is the symbol of Christianity as demonstrated by our Lord, Jesus Christ while on this planet  doing good, healing the sick, raising the dead and restoring hope for the hopeless in the society. Jesus Christ was known for his going about everywhere doing good and performing miracles.

Therefore, mankind in this Easter celebration, humanity must rekindle the love and forgiveness of Jesus in symbolical and in demonstration of Christ's work while on planet earth if the world must be a better place for us all to inhabit.

The quintessential President -General of the Union, Comrade Bunu, thanked all the Christians across the world, particularly in Nigeria for their resilience at this period of persecution  as being carried out by insurgents in various communities in the country; urging them to persevere as the battle is of the Lord's but not man. He also said that man can do but little, but the Almighty God has the final say in all situations in life.

Comrade Bunu enjoined Christians all over the world to celebrate the Easter moments today with hope that the world would soon become a better place as it were devoid of calamity but of peace, love and forgiveness; thanking Christians and Muslims alike to celebrate together as brothers and sisters from one and same source of life as given by the Almighty God. Comrade Bunu while felicitating with Christians today was also reaching out to the needy in the society.

PRESIDENT GENERAL MWUN, COMRADE BUNU HOSTS BOAN EXECUTIVES ON COURTESY VISIT

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by President-General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has pledged the union’s strong commitment to synergize with barge operators as part of measures to boost seamless movement of cargoes across in Nigeria . Bunu who recently hosted executives from the Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN) at the MWUN Secretariat in Lagos made this known in a statement. According to a statement signed by Head of Media MWUN, Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna over the weekend, the visit, led by BOAN Vice President Mr. Hyginus Chichebem Ndukwe, was both a congratulatory call on Comrade Bunu’s recent election victory .
