NLC BIG WIG, PRINCE ADEYANJU FELICITATES CHRISTIANS, CALLS FOR WORLD PEACE

The Nigerian Labour Congress Deputy President, and the erstwhile Maritme Workers' Union President -General, Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju congratulates Christians in Nigeria and the world on this Easter celebration, beaming with hope of assurance that the world would soon become a better   place, devoid of calamities; but a place of a significant peace as promised by the Almighty God; whose only begotten son, Jesus Christ, came and died for the remission of our sins with His precious blood, which he shead on the Cross of Calvary.

The former Maritme Workers' Union of Nigeria Numero Uno said that without sin there would be no forgiveness; hence, the coming of Jesus Christ, who laid his precious life to redeem mankind from the shackles of sin to reconnect man to God.

Our Lord Jesus Christ died not because He was a sinner but laid down His life in  demonstration of the love of God towards mankind; hence, the Book of life (Bible) rightly said that: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for the remission of our sins with His precious blood". This singular act of love and kindness as shown towards  mankind is so precious that Comrade Adeyanju further describes and reflected on it as demonstrated by Jesus Christ on the Cross for humanity as it could only have been accomplished by the humility of Jesus Christ and only Him alone.

For Jesus to have laid down His life was just the only supreme price Christ needed to have paid for the remission of the sin of man for the world to be a better place for habitation to experience happiness and be at peace with His Creator. Christ Himself now became the symbol of reconciliation of man to God; having crowned the "Prince of Peace".

He, however, urged all Nigerans to be resilient in all they're passing through today, saying that God Almighty is not unaware of all that is currently happening in the country, citing the insurgencies in most parts of the north and around Nigeria, where residents have been killed in their large numbers, maimed, chased out, while many more are already displaced.

The Oyo Prince further decried the senseless killings   and unwarranted monetary ransomes being demanded and collected by terrorists all over the places criminal; saying there's no place it's written in the Holy books that people should not live in peace or with ransom amongst each other; as God Almighty Himself is the Creator of Heavens and the Earth, while He remains a Just God.

The President of the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF), Comrade Adeyanju further remarked that it's only God and God alone, who can administer justice on mankind as no one has the right to fight and take the life of anybody for God's sake; advocating that all agrieved arms bearing factions of all sorts in Nigeria and all over the world must desist from this sinful and dastardly killings of humans especially in the middle east where lives of humanity now means nothing but a mere show of strength and demonstration of a "super power" ego  must stop to embrace peace and loving kindness the Holy Books bequeathed on us and return to God as War-War cannot resort to peace but Jaw -Jaw does.

Comrade Adeyanju prayed for the peace of Nigeria; asking God for the forgiveness of our sins across all nations, using the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ as a mercy point for us to emulate irrespective of colour, tongue, tribe and religion.

The Labour chief also called on the federal government of Nigeria to use this God's mercy occasion as demonstrated through our Lord Jesus Christ to reconsider the restoration of "On Board Vessels Tally - Clerks" as it were to ensuring the safety of goods on vessels, exact tonnages and  items in the vessels as their presence on vessels will discourage pilfering and to ensuring proper accountability of monies going into government coffers always.

The erstwhile PG of the Maritme Workers' Union of Nigeria used the Easter to thank all Nigerians for their courage and for believing in the country, while also praising the ones in the diaspora for their commitment towards the country, urging everyone to use this Holy Season of  Easter celebration to reflect proper on the times and life of Jesus Christ, who came and was doing good wherever he goes and doing what is just right at all times.

He said Jesus Christ remains the symbol of love, patience, endurance, peace and sacrifice; who came with enduring peace, showing the world the significance of loving kindness at all times while on earth.
